This is Eileen's husband, Kevin.  I was so blessed to have had Eileen in my life, she was my true love, my best friend, my mentor and my soul partner.  I miss her dearly with every breath.

I must say Thank You to all those who expressed well wishes and blessings, Eileen was so loved by many.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I will continue to keep her artwork available for the enjoyment of her many fans and followers.  As I participate in the various Comic Shows here in the Twin Cities and else where I will be presenting her art in various forms to keep her memory alive, such as displaying her character's on tee shirts for the kids as well as printed sketch cards and other printed material.  

My plan is to begin a Foundation in her memory very soon so please do stop back here to Eileen's site as well as her website...eileenshige.com as I will continue to make contact with her fans and friends with updates on projects and up coming events.  Its what she would want.

Once again, thank you all for the well wishes and support.  Eileen loved each and every one of you, she was so thrilled to receive all the feedback and inspiration from her art.  She is in a better place now and so very happy.

It is with much sadness to report that Eileen has been taken from us due to cancer.  Her art was only a small example of the happiness she brought to this world, and her light will continue to shine forever.

These past few months have been extremely painful as my mom passed away suddenly in June.  Now I'm faced with a new challenge as I found out I have cancer for the second time.  It's a different type of cancer and I will fight to the end!!
